Teaching Nonverbal Communication in a Business Communication Course

Nov. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- We teach students that good communication is the foundation of successful business relationships. We also tell them that we communicate with much more than words. For example, we explain that research demonstrates that the majority of our communication is nonverbal and that onverbal communication (body language) includes our gestures, facial expressions, eye contact, posture, and even the tone of our voice.

The ability to understand and use nonverbal communication is a powerful tool that will help your students connect with others, express their real meaning, navigate difficult and challenging situations, and build better relationships on the job.
