Nov. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Planning a Wedding this coming Spring? Start now or before you know it you'll have to rush to make all  your arrangements.  Family, friends, school, shopping, parties.. the list of distractions is large especially in December but If you have planned to have your wedding  this coming Spring you should NOT leave the details until January.

Here is a general list of concerns for the average wedding ceremony:
Invitations, Dress, Cake. Ceremony Location, Reception Location, Catering Menu, Transportation, Invitations, Photographer, Videographer, Minister, Flowers, Wedding Party ETC...Even this incomplete list strikes fear into many engaged couples!

TIME MANAGEMENT is the key... while you still have months to plan, order and reserve the important pieces of your wedding.... Invitations, Dress, Cake... Just Do It! Get the big stuff DONE so you can have time to pay attention to the amazing amount of little things that will really make your ceremony personal and set your wedding apart.

Block out time to review your wedding  to-do list with your planner and/or  friends. Everyone can certainly set aside an  hour every couple of  weeks at Starbucks or on Skype, or both (gotta  love technology). Go down the list and assign responsibilities to those most capable, and then, (this is important)  hold them accountable to their tasks ( It's Your Wedding and 'nice' only goes so far sometimes..) Setting goals is a good idea... well actually, you will certainly regret it if you don't set them. Provide realistic time frames to accomplish each task and do not forget to ask each of your vendors for referrals from previous clients.

Experienced and professional vendors can make all the difference in the success and your enjoyment of your wedding ceremony. Using 'aunt Kristy' as your primary photographer, just because she has a nice camera and a Flikr account, will most likely end in disappointment.  Your Wedding only happens once.. do it right and you will have happy and funny stories to tell your children, do it wrong and your stories will be sad..... but still funny...

Wedding days are notoriously stressful, with accidents waiting to happen (sad flower girl, late cake delivery, intoxicated relatives, etc). You will not have the emotional and physical reserves to deal with problems  If you are exhausted from running all over town finalizing your ceremony arrangements the days prior to your wedding ceremony. Make the orders and reservations NOW, and then check in periodically to make sure everything is in order.

Wedding vendors are as concerned as you are that  their services are going to the correct location, on the correct day and time. Once an order has been placed or the reservation made, check in with the vendor every month to make sure their details still match yours. If there are any issues, the more time you can give yourself to make other arrangements..The Better!
