| New Highways And Golf Courses Are Set To Give An Extra Boost To Central PortugalA brand new highway, Golf courses and some lakeside resorts are set to provide central Portugal with an extra boost.
By: Paul Andrew Stubbs The biggest reason for this of course is price Central Portugal already had very low prices and no large price reductions, it is this stability of price that has helped keep the market ticking over even though the domestic market has all but collapsed. Now there is even more reason to buy property in the region, infrastructure is the chief reason, the long awaited highway that will link the new International Airport south of Lisbon with Coimbra has been started. As a direct result of this a number of projects have been approved in the area, including large lakeside tourist resorts, one near the historical Knights Templar town of Tomar and one just north of Coimbra. The resort near Tomar will comprise of some two hundred homes and the one near Coimbra one hundred and twenty, the latter will also have a small hotel and both will have Marinas. Golf courses are already under-way and in fact the Golf course near the Coimbra project is already fully operational and a brand new 9 hole course which has plans to expand later will be finished in mid 2011. These types of projects coupled with the reduced travelling time afforded by the new road will undoubtedly push up property prices in the area. Both of these projects are in the final stages of approval and are looking to attract property developers. If you are looking for an area in the sun that has growth potential in the future then http://www.perfectportugalproperty.co.uk has a huge selection of properties in the area. # # # PPProperty is a registered estate agent in Portugal, they currently have two branches in Central Portugal.
