Follow on Google News | Training on the Path of BodhisattvasThubten Lekshey Ling Nyingma Buddhist Centre in Bangalore is conducting a discourse by Khen Rinpoche Katyayana on how to transform daily life through reflections on profound instructions from the traditional training of Bodhisattvas.
By: Phuntosok Namgyal The program will be in two parts. The first part of the program will be on October 16th, Saturday evening 3pm to 6pm. The final part would be on October 17th, Sunday morning 10am to 1pm. It will be conducted at Ashirvad on St.Marks Road, Bangalore. This discourse will be based on "Thirty-seven practices of the Bodhisattvas" The late His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche said, "Of all the vast and profound teachings on the mind of enlightenment, the essence is to be found in this text." Further, His Holiness commented, "Permeate your mind with these teachings day by day, month by month, and without difficulty you will naturally awaken and develop within you all the qualities of a Bodhisattva, just as a bee flying from flower to flower sips nectar from each, and from that nectar produces honey." Khenpo Katyayana Rinpoche is currently the president of Ngagyur Nyingma Institute, the seat of higher philosophy learning in Namdroling Monastery, Bylakkuppe. He belongs to the first few disciples who studied under His Holiness Penor Rinpoche at Namdroling when the monastic university started at Bylakkuppe, Mysore. Khen Rinpoche also studied under various masters including His Holiness Chadral Rinpoche. The program is free of charges and open for all.
