PRLog -- Cliff Yates has joined the management agency of his friend and mentor Mike Marino. In a recent interview with faux comedy magazine Cliff credited Mike Marino with making the pitch to Bob Gonzo for representation. fcm: How did the deal happen with Bob Gonzo? CY: Mike and I were meeting in Burbank discussing upcoming shows, and Mike said your ready, and he called Bob Gonzo on the spot, and the deal was done. fcm: Why haven't you sought an agent or manager before? CY: I was not ready for a couple reasons, obviously still working as a full time police officer limits my availability. On a limited basis I am able to tour with Mike and open for him. We do several charity shows a year from NY to LA, that I produce myself. fcm: Why is now the right time? CY: I'm nearing the end of my police career, I have just 18 months to go, and i will be retired, so it's time to go to the next level in my comedy career. I am writing a new hour of material for a documentary film I'm shooting on the police job and in clubs doing shows, with a big finale show next year. I have enough material now, and am constantly writing. I am ready to headline now, so I will be making the push this next year. For now, I really enjoy being the feature for Mike Marino. I would pay to be getting the experience I get working with him, I think he is the best there is. And he will get his due soon. I am really happy that Bob Gonzo took me on, this is going to be a big step in my career, for detail see
