Hi, my name is Nathan Mueller. The idea behind my website – http://www.randomknowledgesharing.com – is to bring students together with tutors / teachers in any and every subject all around the world. The method is to use one on one webcam video chat appointments, scheduled through my website.

I believe this could become a whole new kind of education, as well as social networking. It could even open up a whole new form of employment.

Consider companies like YouTube or Google. Any time someone wants to learn something, they can search on these websites, and find everything they want to know about the topic they wanted to learn about. Now imagine if someone found what they were looking for, but did not understand it. They would have no one there to help them.

Now imagine if my website became a big thing, and consider they search on my website. They find what they want to learn being taught by 100 different people, covering every time zone on our planet. They choose the one that best fits their needs and schedule an appointment. Then during the appointment, they do not understand something or are doing something wrong. However, because they are learning their topic through a one on one webcam video chat appointment, the teacher is able to help them with their problem and correct them where they are wrong.

Another big idea behind my website is that anyone can sign up for any topic other than adult content. With this concept, anyone can sign up to share what they know and make a little money in the process. On another note, tutors or teachers can sign up and build up a reputation, as well as possible referrals, for if and when they ever start applying for an actual salary based job.

On this same note, many people could actually make a decent tutoring business out of my website. If a tutor were to start their own business where they live, they are limited to the clients within their city or range that they are willing to drive. However, if they use my website, their client base changes from the population of their city to the population of the world. That's an increase that many people could not even estimate.

So what's the difference between my website and many other online tutoring websites? My website allows anyone to sign up for almost any topic, meaning that students who visit my website can potentially learn anything and everything they want. This can range from math and language, to music and acting, to juggling and cooking. The only restriction is that the topic cannot be adult content.

In the following few paragraphs are a few specifics on how my website works, such as payment, costs, and some notable teachers who have already signed up.

Pay will be by the hour on an appointment basis. Thus teachers will only get paid when they have scheduled an appointment. Also, the teachers will decide their rate as well as their available appointment times!

On another note, it is completely free to sign up and become a teacher on my website, and I will not need any information that could potentially hurt the teacher, like credit card numbers.  Instead, teachers will be paid through PayPal: when the customer / student purchase an appointment, they will pay me through PayPal. I will then hold onto the money in my PayPal account until it is confirmed that the appointment has actually taken place. At that time, I will transfer the teacher's share of the money through PayPal by using their email address.

Although I created the website less than three weeks ago, I have already had a very impressive return on the caliber of the teachers who have signed up. I currently have Kirk Baltz, a celebrity actor famous for his performance in Reservoir Dogs, signed up for acting coaching. I have Edward Nemirovsky signed up, who has been in the music business teaching things such as piano lessons, harmony, and composing for over 35 years. I also have a few teachers who are teaching native languages such as Spanish, French, Arabic, and Chinese.
