Rochester, NY Dogs (and Their Owners) Hit the Red Carpet for an Un-“fur”-gettable Night

July 29, 2010 - PRLog -- For the first time ever, Rochester, New York’s most exciting charitable event – “Rochester Fur Ball” is set to debut August 28th at 6 p.m. at the Strathallan Hotel.

This might seem like any other black tie fundraiser, but the “Rochester Fur Ball” – the area’s first PET FRIENDLY, black-tie event – is expected to draw more than 200 guests, many escorted by their canine (and a few brave feline) companions and promises to be one of the most exciting charitable events to be held in Rochester to date.


Lucky pets in attendance will be treated to a doggie buffet, animal communicator, animal reiki, and an on-site Dog Spa complete with animal masseuse. Their human companions will delight in a night of dinner, dancing with music provided by DJ Jimmy C, and raffles. Unique silent auction items such as a signed Rolling Stones guitar and a Sonoma Wine Tour are sure to create a flurry of bidding wars.  Hank Parker Party Rentals are providing the stage for a special doggie fashion show featuring fashions from Kane & Couture, Robin Meyers NYC, and Doggie Couture by Linda Higgins that is sure to make this night un-“fur”-gettable.

The “Rochester Fur Ball” is pleased to be raising money for three great animal-related organizations located here in Rochester: Animal Service League, Verona Street Animal Society, and Monroe County Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

“We are so grateful that the Strathallan has opened its doors for this event,” said Gabriella Martinez, who is hosting the event. “The Strathallan Hotel is absolutely the most perfect setting for the ‘Rochester Fur Ball.’ It’s creating so much excitement.”

The “Rochester Fur Ball” is a tribute to the love, loyalty, and companionship animals provide us. Hosted by A Barkers Dozen Gourmet Dog Treats, the goal of this event is to help raise money and awareness for organizations that help animals in need or enrich the lives of people through animal companionship.

Tickets are $100 per person and $35 per pet, and only 200 tickets will be sold. Tickets can be purchased online at www.rochesterfurball.com, the last day to purchase tickets is August 21, 2010.
