How Scars Heal
With the exception of minor lesions, every wound causes some degree of permanent scarring. Scars can take up to two years to heal, and the speed and quality of healing is determined by various factors including age, genetics (skin type, hormones), wound location, exposure to infection, and lifestyle factors (smoking, nutrition/fitness, sun exposure).
Most scars do soften, flatten and fade over time – but they generally don’t fade completely. Unfortunately, some become more problematic. There are four distinct phases of scar formation: 1) Inflammatory Phase, when the wound causes breakdown of injured collagen; 2) Proliferation Phase, when the skin builds new (often abnormal) collagen very quickly; 3) Epithelization Phase, the formation of new skin, when moisture is essential for proper healing; and 4) Maturation Phase, when a stronger more durable scar is formed, often hardening and changing color (darkening or becoming red).
Now, there’s a new, advanced topical scar cream called InviCible Scars that helps control scar formation, addressing scar healing at each critical phase, and deploying ingredients to help restore order to the healing process – a great solution for skin of all ages.
Introducing InviCible Scars
InviCible Scars combines proven skin care technology, a patent-pending blend of naturally-derived collagen regulators (a Dual-Vitamin C complex), intensive moisturizers, pigment lighteners and essential fatty acids (patent-pending ProBiosyn-4)
Apply InviCible Scars™ Advanced Scar Therapy once the skin heals over. Apply a thin film to the wound site, 2 – 3 times a day, massaging it into the area until the cream is absorbed. Keep scars out of the sun or cover with a minimum of SPF 30 sunscreen to prevent permanent redness or discoloration. DO NOT apply InviCible Scars to open wounds.
