Missing mentally challenged young woman and stepfather, located deceased.
The bodies of a missing woman and her stepfather have been found in the parking lot of the same Wal-Mart they went missing.
Authorities investigating have not determined the time or cause of death. Metro police said there's a possibility Mr. Townsend suffered from a medical problem, and Jamella was unable to get out of the car because of her condition. The vehicle was located in an area of the parking lot that was not visible at eye level and both bodies were slumped over. At first glance it does not appear to be foul play. Autopsies are under way and could be complete as soon as Monday.
Finnie and Townsend disappeared from the Walmart parking lot Wednesday after dropping her mother off to pick up a few household items. Upon exiting the store, they were nowhere to be found.
A massive campaign was orchestrated by LostNMissing, Inc. to get the message out online via numerous social networks including Facebook, Myspace, Blogger and Twitter. Twitter friends of LostNMissing went viral with Tweeting for Ms. Finnie hoping to capture the attention of anyone who may have spotted the vehicle.
Cynthia Caron, President and Founder of LostNMissing states "This is a tragedy that brings great sadness to us all. Our prayers to her family."
