Postcode Anywhere Achieves International Standard for Data Security

June 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Worcester, UK – 07 June 2010 – Business efficiency software supplier Postcode Anywhere announced this week it is among the first UK companies – and the only web services specialist – to be accredited with the ISO 27001 international standard for data security.

The standard outlines best practice for an Information Security Management System (ISMS), and sets rigorous requirements for data protection, particularly critical in areas of business such as the finance, health, public and IT sectors.

Postcode Anywhere, whose suite of products includes UK and international address auto-fill, payment validation, route planning and mapping services, joins a select group of ISO 27001 accredited organisations including Microsoft, BT, Sun Microsystems and the United Nations.

Along with Salesforce.com, it is one of very few ‘cloud computing’ or software-as-a-service providers to meet the standard.
