May 28, 2010 - PRLog -- NEW ORLEANS  – New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH), a multidisciplinary cardiovascular conference taking place June 2 – 5 in New Orleans, has been accredited to offer continuing education credits for radiologic technologists.

NCVH 2010 has been approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists for a maximum of 36.25 CE credits.

NCVH focuses on the entire team involved in all aspects of cardiovascular interventions including cardiologists, primary care physicians, cath lab technologists, podiatrists, nurses, physical therapists and wound care specialists.

“We bring all of the specialties that care for patients with peripheral artery disease together to find new ways to treat this common and lethal disease,” said Course Director Craig M. Walker, M.D. “It is important to globally assess and provide the best patient care from the very beginning. A high percentage of patients do not need amputation, rather only some type of medical management and wound care.”

Multiple concurrent sessions offer dedicated learning opportunities for each specialty. These include: Prevention and Non-¬Invasive Techniques for Cardiovascular Health and Wellness, Family Physician Update, Cath Lab & Nurse Symposium and Wound Care Intensive for Nurses & Specialists.  Please visit www.ncvhonline.com for the complete program.
