May 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Ohio native Quinn, the soulful voice behind the song “Evolve “in Gatorade commercials, and his single “Wish You Were Here” will be featured in the Reverse Interview on The KiKi Miller Report which broadcasts on World Vibe Radio (www.worldviberadio.com) Monday, May 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. CST with rebroadcasts at the same time on Wednesday and Friday, May 19 and 21, 2010.

Considering himself a musical purist, Quinn originally had to be forced by his grandmother to sing in the church choir.  His soulful style and versatility were clearly influenced by his mother’s favorites, Johnnie Taylor and Ray, Goodman, and Brown, as well as his father’s, The Stylistics and Manhattans.  Listening to good music and singing for family and friends led to his first professional recording in 1996 as a member of the group Renaizzance on Tyrone Hill’s label All Net Records.  The cover of Midnight Star’s “Slow Jam” played in 51 markets and reached No. 94 with a bullet on the Billboard R&B charts.

In the years since, Quinn has been busy establishing himself as a featured lead and background vocalist on projects including Kelly Price’s 2002 tour, the 2003 Hidden Beach Recording release of “Hidden Hits” showcasing promising talent, the 2005 soundtrack for Queen Latifah’s movie “Beauty Shop,” and through 2008 as a replacement member in the 90’s R&B group Intro.  His performance in 2009 on the Boney James cover of James Taylor’s “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight” earned Quinn a Grammy nomination in the category of “Best Traditional R&B Performance.”

Currently touring and recording as a member of Grammy Award Winning R&B group Blackstreet (“No Diggity”), Quinn expanded his national attention by performing the song “Evolve” in a recent Gatorade ad campaign.  Digging deep into his soulful heritage, Quinn and hip-hop star David Banner produced a new song that had people searching through music archives believing they were hearing a golden oldie.  He is currently recording an EP of music in that style by request of his fans, but don’t be fooled.  When you hear the featured song “Wish You Were Here,” you’ll recognize that Quinn’s style is current and will appeal to a wide range of listeners.
