American Charities Can Act Green and Earn Green with New Fundraising Partnership

The program innovatively leverages the power of mobile marketing by sending money-saving text message coupons to charitable supporters. The supporters save money and their favorite charities receive a donation. Neither charities nor supporters pay to opt-in and participate in the program.

And, SendSavings™ is “green” in its online functionality, every step of the way. No paper to sign up. No printed coupons. No unnecessary waste.  

It didn’t take long for Richard Lilliston, CEO of HARC, Hillsborough Achievement and Resource Centers, to realize that he needed to enlist HARC as a SendSavings™ charity as soon as possible.

“I’ve been raising money for non-profits for a long time,” Lilliston said, “and SendSavings is so easy for us and our supporters – why would I ever say no? Plus, HARC is very keen on ‘greening up’ our communications and fundraising efforts – and SendSavings gives us the ability to do just that.”

HARC was one of the first charities in Tampa to join SendSavings™, and they were quickly joined by Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo. Both charities quickly alerted their supporters – donors, volunteers, board members and staff – to the fact that they could support their respective organizations by receiving up to two text message coupons per week on their cell phones.
