The League Club Awards Goodwill SWFL $28,450

 
NAPLES, Fla. - April 29, 2024 - PRLog -- The Goodwill Mobile Community Resource Center (CRC) was awarded $28,450 from The Community Trust Fund of The League Club. The Mobile CRC provides online services in areas where transportation is a barrier and enables Goodwill recruiters to conduct on-the-spot applications for employment at various community events. Some services offered by the Mobile CRC are online application assistance for SNAP, LIHEAP, assistance with navigating the Healthcare Network, free tax filing through VITA, and free digital skills training for those who want to become more independent navigating online.

This generous gift will assist in our outreach to bring services to those in our community facing transportation barriers. The Opportunity Accelerator service framework helps career navigators guide folks through their journey to a better job and a more financially stable household," says Angela Hemstreet, Goodwill SWFL Director of Employment Services.

These grants address the needs of at-risk children, families, the elderly, and veterans. To date, The League Club has awarded over $7.3 million dollars to deserving grant applicants.
