Feb. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Valentine’s Day is a special day where we remind the people we love just how much we appreciate them.  That is why, in honor of this holiday, Residents at Country Cottage Assisted Living voted to elect a Valentine’s Day King and Queen on Friday, February 12th. In the Magnolia Cottage, G. W. Sapp and Margarette Russell were named King and Queen, respectively, and in the Oakleaf Cottage, the winners were James Stricklin and Judy Anders.

The Valentine’s Day Kings and Queens were honored by their fellow Residents, and were given a crown and sash to wear.  The two Queens also wore beautiful corsages and their Kings were adorned with coordinating boutonnieres.

“We do this every year,” said Lisa Terry, Managing Director at Country Cottage. “The Residents enjoy voting for each other and celebrating together.  Mr. Sapp, Mr. Stricklin, Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Anders were all so excited to be honored as our Valentine’s Day Kings and Queens!”

Country Cottage is located at 2515 Old Moulton Road in Decatur.  For more information about the Country Cottage, please contact Lisa Terry at 301-1800.  Visit us online at www.cottageassistedliving.com.
