Misty Hicks Named Nurse of the Year

June 15, 2011 - PRLog -- LAWRENCEBURG – Misty Hicks, a nurse at NHC Home Care, has been named the 2011 Lawrence County Nurse of the Year.  Community members gathered at Country Cottage on Weakley Creek Road to recognize area nurses at this year’s Nurse of the Year Award Ceremony on Saturday, May 14th.  Misty was presented with a personalized plaque and a check for $250 as a reward for her incredible efforts as a nurse.  
Jennifer Tease, who nominated Misty for the award, said “She always puts the patient first.  Misty always makes her patients feel comfortable and cared for and thanks them for allowing her to take care of their needs.”
Misty was selected as the winner by a committee of community leaders including Cyndi Clifton, RN, NHC Home Care; Ella Medley, Patient Coordinator at CareAll Home Care; and Lynn Clifton, ADON National Healthcare of Lawrenceburg.  All nominees were honored and presented with a certificate recognizing their nomination.
