Nov. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- For the 16th year, the popular Night of 100 Elvises will come to Baltimore and is taking place December 4-5 at Lithuanian Hall on Hollins Street. The Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys will be home for the weekend to over 50 Elvis impersonators all set to perform at the annual event which serves as a fundraiser for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. This year event organizers are also holding a special raffle to benefit the charity organization, Hungry for Music. The Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys will house a custom motorcycle made at Sturgis 2008 by three renowned figures in the bike industry which is being raffled off at $10 per ticket with proceeds benefiting Hungry for Music.

Hungry for Music is a grassroots volunteer-driven 501 (c)(3) charity organization with a nationwide and international outreach. The organization’s mission is to inspire underprivileged children by bringing positive musical and creative experiences into their lives. It was this mission that inspired biker and producer Dave Galinsky, bike builder Jerry Jackman, and Steve Harbin, Jerry’s top mechanic to build a custom bike at Sturgis 2008. The bike builders are fondly referred to as pirates and this project is all part of their program called Pirate Bike Build. In less than a week, the veteran bikers and builders negotiated with Sturgis vendors for parts, secured a frame, and created a unique custom motorcycle worth $35,000 all in support of giving needy children an opportunity to experience and perform music.

The custom motorcycle will be on display for viewing and photos in the Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys lobby Nov. 25- Dec. 4 and then it will move to Lithuanian Hall for the final raffle. Tickets can be purchased online at the Pirate Bike Builders website, by emailing Hungry for Music at hungryformusic@att.net, or in person at the Night of 100 Elvises event.

In addition to showcasing the custom motorcycle for the upcoming event, the Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys will offer special rates Dec. 4-5 to those attending the 16th annual Night of 100 Elvises. The event draws Elvis enthusiasts and Johns Hopkins supporters from across the state and the country and the hotel will offer special room rates. Reservations can be made by calling 410.532.6900 or 800.532.5397 and using the group name “Night of 100 Elvises.” Complimentary shuttle service is also available from the hotel to Lithuanian Hall for anyone attending, not just guests of the hotel. Shuttle service will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the last shuttle will leave the event at 2:30 a.m. Shuttles will arrive and depart from the front of the hotel every 60 minutes and it is a 20 minute ride to Lithuanian Hall. While waiting for the shuttle, guests can enjoy live Elvis performances or participate in karaoke in the Crossroads Lounge Friday and Saturday night.
