Tanya Vece gets a Handful of Lovin

Nov. 21, 2009 - PRLog -- Hanful of Luvin is an eccentric band from Seattle, Washington who are currently taking top honors across the Nation. Their story begins in 2002 when the band’s founders (David John and Andrew Joslyn) met while in college. John and Joslyn’s brand of music was identified with the distinctive sound of Fiddle. A year later the band was playing live gigs in front of a diverse demographic and within a variety of venues.

The band’s debut disc, Balance, was birthed in 2005. As the band is about to embark on their follow-up album, their live show continues to be a hit. Handful of Luvin performed at as regulars at various Seattle bars and festivals.  They were a staple at Fado’s Seattle. In addition, the band was a featured act at Bumbershoot.

Handful of Luvin played the 2009 Bumbershoot Festival along side artists like Katy Perry, Sheryl Crow, The Black Eyed Peas, and Modest Mouse.  The Bumbershoot Festival  is Seattle’s largest music and arts festival. People attend Bumbershoot from all of the world. Handful of Luvin played Bumbershoot in a venue that spanned over seventy-four acres. The festival is put on , in part, with AEG Live.  

Handful of Luvin has been named as the third best band in Seattle by King5.com for 2009. Over 190,000 music connoisseurs , in Washington state, took place in the polling. The Seattle Weekly describes the band as “A potpourri of all great bands we've loved before, each member brings his own unique sound and experience to the stage, formulating an utterly beautiful frenzy.”. These are just two of many press clippings raving about Handful of Luvin.

The band consists of David John (Guitar/Vocals), Andrew Joslyn (Fiddle/Violin/Viola), Patrick Files (Bass), and Mike Knight (Drums).

Upon the release of their second disc in early  2010, Handful of Luvin is revamping their media campaign with an exciting social media crusade. A new brand, courtesy of Figgzilla Music and Deppit Ink Printing, will be applied to all of the band’s multi-media. In addition, Tanya Vece, will be managing the band’s public relations efforts.
