Dec. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- Jackbone Dixie is one of Stevenson, Washington’s most promising bands. Their hypnotic, yet humble, sound of music lends itself to the comparison of an all-American beer. Subtle in time, harmonious within it’s’ blend of melodic irony, and yet a plain domesticated down home good time!

The band, who are inspired by an eclectic bouquet of music reaching as far as Stuart Gorrell- yet as close as Willie Nelson, are proud to be working with seasoned sound engineer Cass Anawaty of Sunbreak Music. Anawaty has twenty years of professional musicianship to his name. He  is also  the sole founder of Sunbreak Music in Portland, Oregon.  His business is considered an exclusive aspect of Portland’s artistic community.  The Furman AR-1215 voltage regulator is one of the mainstays of the studio, which is treated, in part, with Auralex specifically contrived for balanced monitoring.

Sunbreak Music is, in part, respectfully working with Jackbone Dixie for portions of their mixing needs. The band is honored to be able to utilize the services of their esteemed college Cass Anawaty.

Jackbone Dixie recently campaigned to bring awareness to the trend of abuse and neglected runway youth with their latest single ‘Help Santa Find the Children’. The band is currently working on their debut disc.

Jackbone Dixie has been invited to play The Whisky A Go-GO, are performing a private event at Hollywood and Highland’s proper club, and have played local events- such as Oktoberfest in Stevenson, Washington. The band’s MySpace page notes all their up-to-date live events.

The band mixes their originals with cover tunes that stand the test of time in the fabric of true American rock n' roll. The band's lead singer's (Emily Albaugh) voice is a haunting reminder of Molly Bee, Janis Joplin, and Linda Perry. However, Albaugh's range offers a more polished, yet smoky, air of subtle mystery to the band.

As the group's members take their turn at vocal lead, Richie Eddings and Sonny Larson both manifest a palpable annexation to the band. Talented in their own right, Eddings and Larson both boast an expansive knowledge within their own euphonious musical abilities.
