Energy Bill Rises Hitting Australian Consumers Hard

Nov. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Australian electricity and gas customers are suddenly having to cope with the much talked about energy price hikes as bills have started to land on the door mats home owners and small businesses.  

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) have published data showing that electricity prices are up 15.6% Australia wide in just one year.  One of the hardest hit states is New South Wales, with rises of 21.7%, whilst complaints to the Energy and Water Ombudsman are up 17% in just 6-months.
