Babelgum’s ‘Mr. Wrong’ Nominated For 2009 Mobile Excellence Award In Best Video Category

Fun Little Movies gets Babelgum its first comedy content award nomination

Oct. 27, 2009 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA.-—What do you get when you improvise with a worldwide online iPhone app provider using an award-winning mobile content production company?  The mobile series Mr. Wrong, which has been nominated for Little Monster Media’s 2009 Mobile Excellence Awards. Mr. Wrong is a completely original improvised series about the perilous dating world.  Mr. Wrong has been an artistic and critical success because of the combined efforts of Babelgum, Fun Little Movies, and iO West.

The Mobile Excellence Awards, “MEA’s” profile the latest in mobile entertainment, including media, marketing and technology. The MEAs criteria are based on several achievements including Strategic Initiative, Impact of Technology used in the Industry, Creativity, Ease of Use and Reach, and Execution & Proven Success in the Market.

This Babelgum original series centers around all the men you don’t want to be sitting across from on that special date night. Or as creator Lynn Chindamo calls them, “video dates with the terminally un-dateable.”  Ranging from the techy Mr. Gadget, played by G4’s Tim Jennings, to the gregarious Mr. Know-It-All, played by Doug Sarine star of “Ask a Ninja,” these ‘dates’ are far from the ordinary! Every actor in the series is an improvisational actor from the  iOWest Theater, and the series can only be found on the Babelgum iPhone app or at http://www.babelgum.com/mrwrong.

“As a leading destination in mobile content,” says Amber J. Lawson, Publisher of Babelgum’s Comedy Channel, “we seek third-party partners who are innovating the platform. We hope to continue working with FLM on future series”.

“Babelgum’s support in this effort has been extraordinary,” says Frank Chindamo, the founder and Chief Creative Officer of Fun Little Movies, “They had the vision to invest in producing a series that would appeal to women, still be liked by men, and not alienate aliens.”

The MEAs take place on December 7th, 2009 in Los Angeles, CA at the Sofitel Hotel.
