Oct. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- After posting a course record six under par on Tuesday, Lucas Glover followed it up with a five under on Wednesday and cruised into a win at the 27th PGA Grand Slam of Golf at Port Royal in Southampton, Bermuda.  He finished eleven under par for the two-day tournament, making what many perceived to be a challenging course look quite easy.

Unlike the previous Grand Slam which went into an extra playoff round, this one finished early – with Glover hitting birdies on the 9th, 10th and 11th holes – taking a lead over Stewart Cink, who had a great start to the second round and actually caught up with Glover by the turn before bogeying twice.  After that, there was no turning back for Glover.

The winner from the 2007 Grand Slam, Angel Cabrera finished in second with six under par for the two days - including equalling Glover’s 66 on Wednesday.  Cink dropped into 3rd place after a rough finish, dropping 2 shots on the 15th and bogeying the final hole, while Y.E. Yang couldn’t shake off the jet lag, finishing only one under par for the tournament.  As a result, Glover earns $600.000 of prize money – as part of a $1.35 prize share for the four players, meaning even Y.E. Yang gets $200,000 to shake off the jet lag a little easier.
