Follow on Google News | Lucas Glover leads PGA Grand Slam of Golf at end of Day OneRecap of day one at the Port Royal golf course for the PGA Grand Slam of Golf.
By: Port Royal Stewart Cink opened up with a four under par 65, two strokes behind Glover – while Angel Cabrera ended up with a 1 under par 70 – after being level with Glover and Cink for most of the first 9 holes, while Y.E. Yang came in fourth place after day one with a 71, leaving him even. The four golfers, winners of the Majors golf tournaments in 2009, will face off again on Wednesday for the second round. This was the first time all the pros got to play on the newly renovated course (with exception of some limited practice the day before which saw torrential downpours) and Glover contributes that to his success. “I think, truthfully, seeing the course might have helped, because we might not have known where some of the trouble was,” he added, but it doesn’t look to be a strategy he’d always use. The PGA Grand Slam of Golf will continue Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET (10:00 to 2:00 a.m. GMT) on various channels globally (please check local listings for more detail). Viewers can compete with the four golf pros online, and compete for prizes of their own. A golfing holiday to Bermuda is available to the winner of the Slam Dunk golf game at Imagine golf Club.
