Follow on Google News | Lucas Glover's Road To The Grand Slam of GolfOne of the four spots in the PGA Grand Slam of Golf went to Lucas Glover. With a very different four than past years, many give Glover as much of a chance as anyone else to win the grand slam.
By: Port Royal But this was Lucas Glover’s day. Drama and Hollywood-esque plot lines aside, Glover managed to stay consistent all weekend, and hit a clutch birdie on the 16th and 17th holes Monday. It was only the second tournament win of his career (he won the 2005 Disney / FUNAI Classic), but it will definitely be the most memorable to date. The U.S. Open win, plus consistent top 10 finished in many other tournaments also brought Glover into the top 10 rankings of all golfers, and all by the age of 29. He also finished top 5 in the PGA Championship this year as well. As a result, one of the four spots in the PGA Grand Slam of Golf went to Lucas Glover. With a very different four than past years, many give Glover as much of a chance as anyone else to win the grand slam. Also competing in this years PGA golf grand slam are Y.E. Yang, Angel Cabrera and Stewart Cink. Find out how it all unfolds by visiting the Port Royal Golf website at http://www.portroyalgolf.bm – the hosts of the 2009 PGA Grand Slam of Golf (located in Southampton, Bermuda), where you can read more about each of the players, or view close up shots of each hole on the golf course. And if you can’t make it to Bermuda in October, Port Royal has partnered with Imagine Golf Club, with a game that simulates the scenic 16th hole of the course, where the best scores can win prizes, including a holiday for two to Bermuda!
