Snow Sports Go Green at the SE Winter Sports Show October 2-4 in South Florida

Sept. 23, 2009 - PRLog -- Now in its 20th year, the Southeast Winter Sports Show, presented by Peter Glenn Ski & Sports, returns October 2- 4, to the Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Skiers, snowboarders and winter weather sports enthusiasts and their families will find mountains of fun and blowout prices on clothing, accessories and top-of-the-line equipment from a number of ski and snowboard manufacturers on the cutting edge of green technology and practices.

“We’re honored to have companies such as Burton Snowboards, which uses eco-friendly materials; Head Skis and Snowboards, which protects more than 7,000 acres of mature South American rainforest annually; and Spyder Active Sports, which uses recycled content and bamboo in clothing and footwear,” states David Mahoney, Peter Glenn Ski and Sports marketing director.  He continues, “From the manufacturing plant to the slopes, we must leave a lighter carbon footprint to ensure enjoyment of winter sports for years to come.”

In addition to green manufacturers and products, the Southeast Winter Sport Show features a green fan favorite. “Green Man,” the show mascot, will glide the show floor throughout the weekend with special announcements and prizes.
