Easy Visual Inspection with a new Industrial Endoscope

The new industrial endoscope is a flexible video-based endoscope with a USB connection which is ideal for the visual inspection of areas that are hard to access and for the diagnosis of maintenance and repair problems.

Diagnosing problems with machinery, engines and equipment can be costly and time consuming and many of the existing visual inspection products on the market can be expensive. With this new video endoscope, maintenance engineers now have an affordable solution to reaching hard-to-access areas.

It is not just a product that could be used by engineers. This endoscope could be used by anyone with a pc or laptop who needs to check corrosion or friction wear to internal components, locate piping in wall cavities or under floorboards, inspect damage or check filters and ducting that cannot be easily seen.

The endoscope has a usb interface and 2-metre cable for connection to a computer. After connection to a personal computer or laptop the endoscope allows the user to see real-time high quality video on the computer screen and to record and save video files. Still images can be taken at the touch of a button. The images are displayed on the computer screen and can be saved easily for later use. Images and videos can be used in service reports allowing engineers to improve the speed with which problems can be identified and resolved with their colleagues and suppliers.

A waterproof camera head allows the endoscope to be used in harsh conditions. The 14mm diameter camera head, f2.8 aperture lens with a 54 degree angle of view, focal distance from 60mm to infinity and bright lights all ensure that the user is working with a clear image. An 880mm flexible, gooseneck probe adjusts easily to the shape required, then remains rigid, to allow easy one-handed operation. A magnet attachment can be fixed to the head of the probe to allow small metal objects to be retrieved from within machinery and equipment when there is not enough space to reach in for the item.

No batteries are required, as power is provided by the computer’s USB port, and the endoscope is supplied with image processing software, magnet attachment and a hard plastic carry case. The endoscope is available from £57.50 plus VAT and delivery.
