Follow on Google News | A Sales Pitch that Goes Too FarForceful and even fraudulent sales people are not only tricking their way into the homes of the vulnerable and elderly, but they are even applying so much pressure that their victims are being pushed into buying products they do not need or want.
By: John Kaduwanema This is a common subject in the news - it is happening all over the UK and is nearly always affects the same groups of people; the elderly, disabled or vulnerable. Rogue traders and forceful sales people continue to trick and pressure people within their own homes to commit to purchasing products they do not necessarily need or want. Derbyshire Council have recently spoke about their disgust as certain local mobility products companies were cold calling residents, leading them to believe they were the social services or other local health authorities interested in making appointments to conduct needs assessments. It was only when they managed to get their way into the residents homes that they turned out to be hard-selling mobility company representatives. Trading standards and mobility groups are urging people to be more aware of potential scammers and forceful sales people. Clive Moesby, a cabinet member for community safety said "If people do want to buy mobility products such as wheelchairs or scooters they should take their time and compare lots of different products and prices from different retailers before making a decision." http://www.easierlivingwarehouse.co.uk/ http://www.easierlivingwarehouse.co.uk/ http://www.easierlivingwarehouse.co.uk/ # # # This Article is brought to you by the Easier Living Warehouse , UK's premier supplier of Mobility equipment such as Car Ramps ,Mobility Aids ,Walking Sticks and Wheelchair Ramps .
