Albanian Property Investment to Grow in Popularity

Albanian property investment is growing in popularity despite the global decline.

Feb. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- It has been suggested that due to the current global financial crisis, the Republic of Albania could see an increase in property investment from overseas.

The South European country is one of only a few markets that has come through the global economic meltdown relatively untouched.

The capital Tirana, where foreign buyers and investors can purchase new build apartments from as little as £17,000 has been recommended in particular by the director of the Property Abroad portal, Les Calvert.

Mr Calvert said: "We have never stopped recommending Albania for property investment, as it has displayed an incredible resilience to the credit crunch.
"We are recommending that investors get in now while prices are still relatively low."

He added that the entrance of "multi-million Euro" Real Estate Investment Trusts would "practically ensure those who buy now profit greatly over the mid-long term".

The foreign currency exchange rate for Albania is £1.00 to 148.390 Albania Leke (23/02/09).
