Easter Seals Appoints Development Director

Terence J. Callaghan Adds Wealth of Experience to Already Strong Management

Jan. 12, 2009 - PRLog -- Allentown, PA- Easter Seals today announced Terence J. Callaghan has been named Development Director. Mr. Callaghan’s strong background in development, sales, and marketing further enhances Easter Seals’ fundraising and donor relations efforts in the Lehigh Valley, Berks and Pocono region. Mr. Callaghan’s creative approach will further enable the organization to provide distinctive, credible, and satisfying opportunities for local donors to aid children and adults living with disabilities to lead healthy productive lives.  

Prior to joining Easter Seals, Mr. Callaghan served as a Senior Development Officer at Lehigh University.  As a Director of Lehigh’s Asa Packer Society, his responsibilities included increasing the already extensive donor list.  During his tenure at Lehigh, Mr. Callaghan gained valuable experience in fundraising as an Associate Director, Corporate Relations and Major Gifts Officer. Adding to Mr. Callaghan’s diverse background, he served as an Operations Specialist at Heinz USA and at Pennsylvania Power Light Company for numerous years.

Callaghan is active in the local community, serving on several non-profit boards. He also dedicates many volunteer hours to community organizations, including United Way of Lehigh, Northampton, and Warren Counties. He has also tutored disadvantaged preschool children at Lincoln Elementary School along with coaching various sports at several schools.
