Xlibris Book Empowers and Inspires Traumatic Brain Injury Survivors

In her book, ‘If I Only Had a Brain Surgery’, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) survivor, Laura Bruno, shares her stories of struggle and recovery in the world where brain injuries and other mystifying diseases exist..

Aug. 25, 2008 - PRLog -- It takes a person who has actually lived through the pains of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) treatments to provide accurate insights on the journey of TBI recuperation. Add that to living a life with a husband who suffers from Lyme disease and you will never see a person’s tolerance for pain tested as much as Laura Bruno’s has.

Bruno, at twenty-four, had a flourishing career in sales and was working her way through a graduate school fellowship, when a car accident rendered her unable to pursue her dreams as she was diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury.

Despite this major setback, Bruno strived to search for more treatments that will help her in gaining a sense of what her life could have been, before her accident.

In this Xlibris published book, Bruno likens her story of revival to that of Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz”. The same way that Dorothy struggled to find her way back home, Bruno was inspired to do the same – unearth her way to full recovery.

Six difficult years after her misfortune, her husband contracted Lyme disease. As someone who has undergone the distress of hearing vague prognoses, Bruno once again, travels the path of emotional and physical healing, but in this instance, for her husband.

Armed with her life coaching background, medical intuition and Reiki mastery, Bruno not only provides a compelling retelling of her life after TBI, but also imparts vital information on perplexing conditions like concussions, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.

‘If I Only Had a Brain Surgery’ is not only a fitting guide to those suffering Traumatic Brain Surgery but also to those looking for purpose as they plot their own spiritual missions.
