serVonic Receives “HiPath Ready“-Certification

June 6, 2008 - PRLog -- With its unified messaging solution IXI-UMS, serVonic successfully finished the certification for the Siemens HiPath 8000 Version 3.1. Therewith, the technology partner of Siemens Enterprise Communications receives the "HiPath Ready"-certification for IXI-UMS. The certificate confirms the interoperability of serVonic’s unified messaging solution with HiPath 8000 systems. “We are glad that after the successful certification for the HiPath-systems of the 3000- and 4000-series, we now got another seal of quality for our solution from Siemens,” says Jochen Klein, CEO of serVonic GmbH. “Especially large companies with several sites that way have a well coordinated solution for company communication at their disposal.”

serVonic’s communication solution was tested at the beginning of April at the international Siemens HiPath ReadyLab in Brussels. The connection to Siemens HiPath 8000 was realized via LAN via SIP. Apart from the general IXI-UMS functionality, the features VoIPconnect SoftFax, MWI and Call Transfer were tested. Another issue of the test program was the reaction of serVonic’s solution in case of a partial system crash. Jochen Klein is extremely satisfied with the testing: “With the certification Siemens confirms, what has already been realized in numerous IXI-UMS-projects with Siemens HiPath, so we were able to finish the tests with HiPath 8000 as expected in the fixed period – without any problems.”

IXI-UMS Unified Messaging Server is add-on software, which adds the features Fax, Voice, SMS and remote inquiry by mobile phone or telephone to available IT-environments. IXI-UMS usually integrates in messaging systems such as Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino. It is because of the flexible Connector-architecture that installations are also possible in mixed environments – messaging-, ERP- or CRM-system – smoothly. The high scalability of the solution allows the flexible deployment in environments from 10 up to several thousand users. Also complex requirements in terms of high availability and security are satisfied by the software manufacturer with specially developed concepts.
