March 31, 2008 - PRLog -- If you are eager to enter a new field or increase your potential for promotion at your current workplace, career schools hold just the right training programs. Whether you're fresh out of high school or veterans of the 9-to-5 routine, studying at a career school will enable you to enjoy the same opportunities and options while honing your skills for the job of your dreams.

At the CDM Institute (http://www.collegebound.net/clickcount.php?id=8799589&goto=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.collegesurfing.com%2Fce%2Fcdm%2F) on the East Coast, students are already getting their start on a career. Since the early 1990s the school has been providing residents of New Jersey and Pennsylvania with the means to update their job skills and/or enter completely different fields of work in less than 10 weeks. And because the CDM Institute understands that the scheduling needs of adult learners and working students are different from your average college student's, this career school offers courses during the day, evening, and weekend.

Boasting modern facilities in Marlton, Vineland, Wayne, and Woodbridge, NJ -- as well as a campus in Allentown, Pennsylvania -- the CDM Institute offers students classes with individual workstations and job-related equipment for hands-on learning. Although exact programs and schedules may vary from campus to campus, the CDM Institute generally features career training clerical-, technical-, and health care-related industries.

For the artistic- and technical-minded, there's the CAD Drafting (computer-aided design and drafting) program. With these courses students will learn how to properly use computer software to translate concepts and real world objects into fully realized designs and computer renderings. Students who are interested in clerical work and/or the health care field, however, will find the career training they need through the CDM Institute's computer office administration, medical office administration, and medical billing and coding courses.

While the first two programs will prepare individuals to work in offices, the medical billing and coding program can prepare students for a freelance or at-home career. That's because the field is focused on the evaluation and subsequent coding of patient records -- a task that can be handled by medical coding technicians from the comforts of their home, provided that they have the software and technology capabilities for transferring files to and from employers.

The CM Institute also offers a computer accounting technology courses, which prepares students for accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities, and a CNC programming program, which is computer numerical control. By enrolling in the latter education track, students will learn the basics of CNC programs -- software that is responsible for the operation of CNC technology like milling machines, turning centers, and metalworking lathes.

Once you're done with your studies you're anything but alone thanks to the CDM Institute's dedication to the career development and placement of its students. With the career development program students are taught such important skills as how to create resumes, write cover letters, and conduct oneself during an interview. After graduation, the CDM Institute goes one step further by promising its students free assistance with finding a job. The program is offered for however long a student needs it and, more importantly, the goal is to not just get grads a job but to get them a position in their field of study.
