In the game of Scrabble (tm Hasbro), you are the one getting played!

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Aug. 18, 2025 - PRLog -- WildWords is a game you can only master by playing it. There is no need for memorizing short gibberish codes from an official dictionary of secret codes. Every word in English can be played no matter how long. Good players will use all seven tiles at least half their plays. That's how you win in WildWords.

A wild asterisk tile that can stand for any series of one or more letters is one key to making many of those plays. At first it can be D*BOBU*G (discombobulating) until your brain shifts to higher gears. Every other innovation also opens up the game to more possibilites, interesting decisions, and a ton of fun. Most people never realized what a straightjacket Scrabble is. You will when you play WildWords.

The video at the bottom shows a practice session played with the Internet version where every play except one used all seven tiles. Watch it to see some plays and hear the thinking behind them.

I am sold out of my 5,500 board versions but the Internet version is free.
