Sine Nomine Associates Inc. Is a trusted contractor of IBM. After many years IBM has changed the OpenAFS License. This distributed file system project is over 25 years old.
 
Feb. 6, 2025 - PRLog -- Subject: Announcement of License Changes to IBM Developerworks OpenAFS 1.0 To support the continued development of OpenAFS, IBM approves the licensing changes to the OpenAFS 1.0 repository described below: 1. All IBM copyrighted source code in the IBM OpenAFS 1.0 release is now available under the GPLv2 as an alternative to the IPL. 2. All Sun Microsystems, Inc. copyrighted source code in the IBM OpenAFS 1.0 release is now available under the 3-part BSD Oracle America, Inc. Sun RPC license. In addition, all prior and future contributions from IBM employees submitted to and accepted by the OpenAFS project will be licensed in accordance with current policies of the OpenAFS maintainers.
