Redwood Gospel Missions Announces the Opening of a Second Thrift Store

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - Jan. 22, 2025 - PRLog -- RGM's first Thrift Store at 1821 Piner Rd. has served our community for the last 17 years.

"Thrift Stores represent the mission of Redwood Gospel Missions. We exist to mobilize our
community to minister to people in need so that lives are transformed. Thrift Stores are far more than just a store. They're transformation stations."

The RGM Thrift Stores are a ministry to people in need. Through the stores, RGM provides items at low cost to meet household needs throughout the community.

Gilman describes the community benefit this way. "We make a determined effort to identify items that meet basic human needs. We careful stock and price so that those we serve can find what they need at a price they can afford. We also coordinate with partner agencies and local churches to provide help that is the greatest possible benefit to the person."

In addition to offering household items, RGM's Thrift Stores provide job training, job skills, and
certificate programs that help people in the Mission's recovery program. People in RGM's
programs gain retail management skills, forklift operator certifications, and commercial driving
experience. This valuable training improves a person's ability to find meaningful work when
they graduate RGM's program.

"Our new store presents an opportunity for the community to donate items for sale to help people in need," Gilman continued. "Many times, people come to our stores, not for the bargain prices but to find the treasure they're looking for. All proceeds from the Thrift Store benefit the Redwood Gospel Missions."

The store hours are 9 AM – 6 PM Monday through Saturday.

Donation Drop-Off Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Saturday.
