Award-winning catering firm supports those in need

TYNE AND WEAR, U.K. - Dec. 23, 2022 - PRLog -- Kam asked his friends and family if they'd be willing to help and the response was overwhelming. Over the 3 days, over 1200 boxes of food have been distributed all over the North East to various food banks, volunteer companies and The emergency services.

Local companies & Friends have donated food items, such as rice, lentils and fresh vegetables for the team to cook up a delicious, nutritious Indian meal for those in need.

Local hospitality employment agency Adkins and Cheurfi kindly provided kitchen staff to help over the 3 days with over 25  of Kam and Nedhi's family and friends donatning their time to help cook, pack and deliver  the food.

On Wednesday night, food was prepared and handed out to over 250 people at Newcastle's People's Kitchen.

Kam Chera said

"We are overwhelmed with the support from our friends and family, who have given their time and donations to enable Nedhi and I to do this for those people in need. We've had a fantastic year with The Funky IndianWali with highlights such as catering for the men's and women's Indian cricket teams, Bollywood celebrities and we thought we'd use this period to give something back to those who need it"
