Hollywood screenwriters DS Brechner & Lee Shargel team up to pen "The JUDGE" a TV pilot

"The JUDGE" is an exciting drama where Judge Judy meets the Sopranos. Written by DS Brechner and Lee Shargel award-winning author and screenwriter.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Sept. 7, 2022 - PRLog -- Brechner best known for making Miami Bass tracks in the early 1990's. He worked with some of the biggest names in the Miami music scene. Musicians, Rap, Hip/Hop stars such as, Jealous J who did beats for Lil Jon, T.I., B.O.B., Nelly, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Trick Daddy, Usher, Pit-Bull, Carrie Underwood "THE CHAMPION" and that's just to name a few.

Brechner attended Lee's creative writing course entitled, "Peeling the Onion," this was the catalyst. He then went on writing his first major screenplay, "Breach".
Brechner teamed up with Lee on "The JUDGE", along with Doug Richardson who wrote Bad Boys, Die Hard 2 and Money Train. Brechner and Richardson are in talks on the feature film "The Getaway". Brechner is also writing a movie, the true story about five female Firefighters who became the first all female squad out of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Shargel has written five books and twenty-two screenplays for film and television. He discovered numerous opportunities to write in the genres he loved most. Science-Fiction, Historical-Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Reality-Fiction.

His determination paid off and for four years, he was the North American feature writer for UK based, Sci-Fi & Fantasy Movie Magazine. He went on to write his best-selling science fiction tale, "Voice in the Mirror." A sci-fi novel that tells how: "Life is Discovered on Another Planet. The Other Planet is Earth." Lee wrote the "Christmas Siren." This book became the forerunner to his best-selling novel, "Fireman Down." As a result of his contributions to U.K. based Sci-Fi magazine Lee was asked by Sir Richard Attenborough, to write four chapters on the history of Science Fiction in Cinema in a collectible book he was publishing entitled, "100 Years of Moving Pictures." It was a celebration of the 100th birthday of motion pictures. The centerpiece of the book was Lee's interview with directors, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Brad Silberling. The book sold out every copy. (1.1 million)

Lee was asked to "script doctor" the screenplay for a major motion picture and after 14 iterations, he succeeded. Lee's next book, FIREMAN DOWN: The true story of African American firefighter, Arthur Reese, published September 1, 2021.
Lee also enjoys writing movies for the Sci-Fi Channel.

Lee's next book, an action-packed sci-fi thriller, FILBY: Forever in Time is due out in early 2023.
