May 19, 2022 - PRLog -- SINGAPORE – Park Hotel Group ( operating some of the Top ( Hotels in Asia (, announced key updates on positively impacting the Planet through its action taken to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals for a better and more sustainable future.

Through the Room For Trees initiative launched earlier this year where the Group will plant a tree for every booking made on its website ( (, 3,663 mangroves will be produced in Biak Island, Indonesia. Park Hotel Group hopes to restore the mangrove forests and positively impact life on the land.

Indonesia has one of the most extensive mangroves in the world but over the last three decades, over 40% of mangrove forests were destroyed in the country, affecting lives and livelihoods that depended on it. Research has shown that mangroves are vital for the ecosystem and effective in the battle against climate change as they can absorb up to four times the carbon amount compared to a rainforest.
