Follow on Google News | Local Professional Football Player, Corey Brown Jr., donates books for National Reading MonthBy: Black Diamond PR, LLC Corey Brown Jr. who has been a resident of Saint Petersburg, FL all of his life jumped at the opportunity to be able to give back to a local elementary school. He was able to purchase many books for Ms. Broadbear's classroom library; including Magic Treehouse books, I Survived books, and some documentaries. Corey made a day of it when donating the books to Sexton; he went to recess with the class and then also hung out/signed some autographs in the classroom with the students. "I loved the event and being able to connect with the community," said Brown. "I believe that giving back is the most important thing to do. It shows you care and you never really know who you're going to impact when doing it. It was very humbling to hear the kids were excited to meet me. It made me think about when I was young and would go to the boys and girls club where Cal Ripken Jr would come visit us regularly and was the person who took me to my very first NFL game, and the times I would workout with Ej and Erin Henderson since their Aunt lived next door to me. Those are the moments you will never forget." Corey Brown Jr. is an Army veteran and Chowan University alum. He has played for many different professional football leagues during his tenure of playing professional football; the Spring League, AAL, AFL and the A-League. Just this last year he was selected to be a part of the 2021 US Men's Track and Field team as a sprinter. He has attended many combines over the years and is actively searching for his next professional football opportunity. For more information about John M.
