Director Named For Collective Development Inc.'s Film 'Hot Rod Love'

LANSING, Mich. - Feb. 11, 2022 - PRLog -- Michigan-based Collective Development Inc. has been doing their own "tribeCDI" thing for over two decades. What started as a script development company has evolved into multi-generations of production allowing emerging artists to tell powerful and unique stories.

2022 will see worldwide campaigns roll out on the documentary "For the Love of Catch," the CDI associated thriller "Bestseller," and "Best Years Gone," the most recent 2021 'Best Film' winner of the London-based Maverick Movie Awards, also taking 'Best Actor' (DJ Perry) and 'Best Cinematography' (Travis Hayward).  Nominations were also given for 'Best Supporting Actor & Actress' (Randy Spence & Melissa Anschutz) and a nomination for 'Best Screenplay' (DJ Perry). These films are being released by Deskpop Entertainment.

CDI recently announced its next feature film in active development, HOT ROD LOVE. A '1975 American Graffiti' comedy that harkens back to the fun films of the 70's and 80's like CADDYSHACK, SMOKEY & THE BANDIT and CANNONBALL RUN. The screenplay was written by DJ Perry and the film is slated for a late Spring shoot (May/June) in Michigan with Shane Hagedorn once again directing and Travis Hayward, serving as the director of photography.

CDI's beloved actor troupe has gained a worldwide audience always eager to watch another story unfold. The Quest Trilogy (Forty Nights, Chasing the Star, The Christ Slayer), Man's Best Friend, Wild Faith, Lost Heart aka Bigfoot, UFOs & Jesus are just a few of the films produced in the last decade.
