Collective Development Inc. Signs Dreamscape Productions Onto 'Harsens Island Revenge'

LANSING, Mich. - March 25, 2025 - PRLog -- Following on the heels of Collective Development Inc. (CDI's) WW2 home front drama 'Silent Night in Algona' comes the 'Harsens Island Revenge' movie from the book of the same name by Karl Manke. This is Mr. Manke's second book turned into a screenplay and produced into a motion picture by DJ Perry and his team at CDI. The previous Manke book 'Hope From Heaven' was released as 'Best Years Gone' into the world market.

'Harsens Island Revenge' weaves true history with fictional elements based on the many Purple Gang stories. The Detroit-based gang ran 80% of the illegal booze in the USA during prohibition. They left a bootlegging fingerprint all over the country with Al Capone being one of their biggest buyers. This film is full of period cars (FORDS), boats, planes and buildings all over 100 years old. The film was shot mostly in Alpena, MI with parts filmed also on Harsens Island.

Directed by Carl Weyant who makes an amazing leap to feature films after producing several music videos with CDI. The film features an amazing cast including 'Happy Days' alumni Don Most, who gives an award winning performance as the ruthless head of the Purple Gang. Director of Photography Travis Hayward and Production Designer GW Burns both bring a spectacular mood and style to the film. Gone are the stark 1920's Black & White images replaced with a past world seen in breathtaking beauty and color.

The theatrical run starts on April 25th, 2025 at the Sanctuary Cinema in Alpena, MI.  Dreamscape Productions has signed on to be the theatrical booking rep for the film.
