BEST YEARS GONE Announces Release Dates With Deskpop Entertainment

LANSING, Mich. - Jan. 22, 2022 - PRLog -- Between the Covid lockdowns of 2020, CDI made a journey that few productions made that year with production of the feature film BEST YEARS GONE. The script was adapted by DJ Perry from the book "Hope from Heaven," by Michigan author Karl Manke. CDI safely navigated the shoot by weekly testing and keeping strict protocol. The film, which was intended to start production in April 2020, sat fully loaded until they launched in October/November 2020 wrapping production one day before Michigan again went into lock down.

The Shane Hagedorn directed film is about a former racer 'Gil Gilles,' trying to find his place in a post-racing world. He also fights the battle of loneliness and substance abuse where some days he's the victim and other days the enabler. A new love in his life Sylvia (Erika Hoveland) could be his angel or devil and her twin millennial daughters (Introducing Tessa & Zoie Dye) cause Gil major life strife. Add in some of the most colorful and entertaining townsfolk played by the CDI troupe to absolute perfection and one unexpected plot twist and you are one unique and entertaining story. The film co-stars director Shane Hagedorn (Ashes of Eden), Melissa Anschutz (Lost Heart), Victoria Jackson (SNL), Lana Wood (Diamonds are Forever), Terence Knox (Tour of Duty), Randy Spence (Chasing the Star),  Matthew Ketchum (Song of the Tree Frogs), Dean Teaster (Man's Best Friend), Robert Bradley (Bigfoot, UFO's & Jesus), Anthony Hornus (Wicked Spring), Ian Griffin (An Ordinary Killer), and Greg Mason (Wild Faith).

That film is has already played select theaters in the Neighborhood Cinema Group and the Celebration Cinema Group chains. It will continue to play theaters and events leading up to the June 7^th, DVD and TV On Demand release followed by Broadcast and streaming starting September 1^st, 2022 with distributor DeskPop Entertainment. It recently was announced as an official selection of the 19th Maverick Movie Awards in London, England.
