By: Go New Forest
And pre-Christmas is also the time to grab a bargain break, so why not treat yourself and make a weekend of it? There are loads of accommodation options and plenty of pubs with roaring fires for that well-earned, post shopping tipple!
Here are just a few ideas to whet the appetite…
Ringwood's Winter Wanderland is organised by Ringwood Town Council and will be hosted around this wonderful town on Sunday 28 November. Enjoy the Christmas lights as you wander through the market of over 50 stalls made up of local arts and crafts, produce, gifts and charity stalls, plus hot food and drink including mulled wine and cider, hog roast, bratwurst, stone baked pizza, a well-stocked bar, and hot chocolate. Further details at www.ringwood.gov.uk.
Eats 'n' Treats
Eats 'n' Treats, one of the biggest and best local food and drink events of the year, will take place on Sunday 28 November at Brockenhurst College in the heart of the forest. This year, the event will be Christmas themed - kicking off Christmas celebrations in the New Forest. The event provides an opportunity to discover and sample the wide range of luscious local produce, including baked goods, jams & chutneys, savoury treats, local coffees and teas, beer, cider and more. There will also be lots of great local crafts to purchase too, perfect for stocking fillers! The event will take place from 11am to 4pm and costs £1 per adult – kids go free, plus free parking.
