By: Fort Worth Christian School
Each of these students has devoted countless long hours and a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication to their studies at FWC to receive this time-honored recognition. The valedictorian of a graduating class is the student who has the highest weighted grade point average. The salutatorian of a graduating class is the student who has the second-highest weighted grade point average.
This year's salutatorian is Katherine Davis. Kate has been a member of the FWC community for the past 7 years. Kate has challenged herself by taking some of the most difficult courses available at FWC. During her time in the Upper School, she enrolled in 8 Advanced Placement courses. She was named AP Scholar after her junior year. Kate is looking forward to attending Texas Christian University in the Fall where she will be enrolled in the Honors College pursuing a Biology major.
This year's Valedictorian is Jill Reed. Jill is a 14-year senior and began at FWC in Pre-Kindergarten. Jill is the oldest in her family and has a brother, Luke, in 9th grade. Jill has also challenged herself by enrolling in many of the most academically rigorous courses that FWC offers each year. In her time at FWC, she enrolled in 9 Advanced Placement Courses and is currently completing AP U.S. Government & Politics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Calculus, and AP English Language & Composition. Jill earned AP Scholar with Distinction Honors last summer and is a current member of Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society. Jill has competed on the Academic Team all 4 years. Jill is looking forward to attending Texas A&M University in the Fall and will be enrolled in the Honors Program in Mays Business School.
