Albuquerque Author's Book Named as Top Source for Overcoming Addiction
Although the book serves as a practical guide on how to reduce negativity and embrace happiness, three out of 11 chapters focus on alcohol and drug addiction and abuse.
From meth addicts to multi-millionaires, "Erase Negativity and Embrace the Magic Within" offers powerful experiences of individuals who have faced dramatic challenges, but did not lose hope. Using these compelling biographies, as well as practical advice and simple exercises, the reader is guided on an internal journey toward adopting a more joyful way to live.
"Whether it's alcohol and substance abuse or an addiction to negativity, there are proactive steps people can make to improve their lives," said Jacqueline Howard, who co-wrote the book with Sally Marks. "We are very grateful that Pretty Progressive has highlighted our book to serve as a source of hope to the millions of individuals who are suffering."
The issue of alcohol and drug dependency is particularly significant in New Mexico. In a Jan. 6, 2021 article in "Addiction Magazine" written by Lana Reihani, the licensed professional clinical counselor wrote that "Drugs and alcohol are at least partially to blame for all 10 of the leading causes of death in New Mexico."
Addiction is only a part of the problem. In March of 2020, prior to spread of COVID19, Greater Good Science Center reported that negative feeling are increasing worldwide and that an "epidemic of addictions" and negativity has been especially hard hit in the U.S.
In addition to the book, Marks and Howard provide seminars and workshops on overcoming negativity. Information is available at https://markspublicrelations.wixsite.com/
