Follow on Google News | Mounts Botanical Garden in WPB Presents PLANT-A-PALOOZA This WeekendMounts Botanical Garden of Palm Beach County Presents PLANT-A-PALOOZA 2020 Annual Fall Plant Sale on Nov. 7-8 is First Major Public Event at Mounts Since Last March with Strict Health & Safety Guidelines (West Palm Beach, FL – November 2, 2020) Mounts Botanical Garden, Palm Beach County's oldest and largest botanical garden, is presenting its first major public event since the onslaught of the COVID- "We have reimagined our fall plant sale for today's new normal," says said Mounts Curator Director Rochelle Wolberg. "Public health and safety are our top priorities. Because we're adhering to Palm Beach County and CDC requirements and guidelines, this weekend's sale will be held at reduced capacity. We are also requesting that all tickets be purchased in advance through www.mounts.org." Sponsored by the Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association, the fall plant sale will feature more than 30 vendors, offering a wide range of plants, shrubs, trees, garden furniture & accessories, baskets, and fine crafts, all spread throughout the Garden. For example, the Palm Beach Chapter of the Rare Fruit Council will have its own booth promoting Fruitilizer, a fertilizer specially formulated for South Florida soils. Visitors can stroll and shop in a socially distanced, relaxed environment, while looking for Bonsai, bamboo, bromeliads, butterfly plants, citrus, ferns, Florida natives, flowering trees, ginger, heliconia, orchids & supplies, pitcher plants, plumeria, roses, succulents, vines and more. "The Mounts Nursery and Vintage Thrift Shop will also be open with a great variety of plants and unique treasures for the home and garden," added Wolberg. Mounts Health & Safety Guidelines + Masks are mandatory; social distancing will be enforced. + Hand sanitizing stations will be available. + There will be no carry out assistance. Visitors should bring their own wagon or cart. + There will be no food vendors Water will be available for purchase. General Sale Information + The dates/hours are Saturday, November 7, 9 am to 4 pm (with Mounts Members' preview from 8 to 9 am); and Sunday, November 8, 9 am to 3 pm. + The Entrance/Exit will be located at Gate 2 Only in the DMV parking lot. The front entrance gate and back area gate will be closed. + Event Parking is in the DMV lot and the Mounts front entrance lot (there's a pathway to Gate 2). No on-street parking.
