Alten Construction begins upgrades at Burlingame Intermediate School

BURLINGAME, Calif. - July 21, 2020 - PRLog -- Alten Construction (https://www.altenconstruction.com/), a full-service San Francisco Bay Area commercial construction company, recently began the modernization of Burlingame Intermediate School (https://bi-bsd-ca.schoolloop.com/), a highly rated sixth-grade through eighth-grade public school.

The renovation includes remodeling a music room, auditorium restrooms, outdoor learning areas, walkways and paths of travel between classroom buildings and 5 classroom buildings with 20 classrooms, totaling 35,000 square feet. Alten Construction is working closely with Hamilton and Aitken Architects.

Once complete, the 160,000-square-foot property will also have improved underground utilities.

The $11.5 million project is slated for completion in summer 2021. During this time, the campus will remain active during construction.

Located at 1715 Quesada Way in Burlingame, the school enrolls about 1,088 students.
