Nelson, an Iowa Native, already served as an Adjunct Instructor at Mount Mercy in the Adult Accelerated MBA program as well as at the University of Dubuque—Cedar Rapids. The Marion business owner is passionate about helping others identify what sparks them and tell their story. Her growing marketing agency specializes in helping businesses and nonprofits grow big dreams through strategic and tactical marketing services. Christa is also very passionate about serving in her community through volunteering her gifts and talents. She often guest lectures and speaks on a variety of topics for various agencies. She makes regular appearances in future CEO and Career Speaker Days at local schools, sharing both her passion for marketing and being a small business owner. Christa serves on the boards of Friends of Czech Village and Marion Cares and volunteers for Linn-Mar Foundation, Attachment & Trauma Network, House of Hope, His Hands Free Clinic, Worldmaker International, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Antioch Christian Church. Since launching in January 2018, Epiphany has selected three nonprofits to receive donated services as their way of giving back to the community. This year, in honor of her upcoming 50th birthday, the agency has been doing acts of kindness and giving back for 50 weeks - a campaign that led her to being chosen as one of KCRG's- 9 Who Care.2020 honorees this past February. Mount Mercy University is a Catholic liberal arts university nestled in Cedar Rapids' historical Mound View neighborhood. Their curriculum guides students in exploring and working towards a more just, equal, and peaceful world.
