| ![]() House Bill 3228 and Israel is Set To ExportBy: Infinity Broadcast Network After two months of closures and an ongoing legal battle with Governor Charlie Baker over recreational marijuana's nonessential status during the COVID19 outbreak, adult use cannabis shops will be allowed to reopen May 25th. As part of the first phase of the state's reopening plan, retailers will be required to implement social-distancing, new sanitation procedures, mask-wearing by employees, and curbside pickup only. In Oklahoma, the comprehensive house bill 3228, makes various policy modifications regarding the state's medical marijuana program. Among other changes, the bill would allow MMJ delivery, as well as out-of-state visitors to obtain, temporary, but renewable, 90-day medical cannabis cards. The latter policy could further expand the state's market by attracting neighboring Arkansas residents who have already been travelling across the border for Oklahoma's lower marijuana prices. To celebrate the partnership, Uncle Bud's is donating more than a thousand hemp hand sanitizers to Safe Place for Youth, a nonprofit organization helping kids without a home. Akerna, parent of MJ Freeway, revealed receiving a 2.2 million dollar Paycheck Protection Program loan, with 1 percent interest deferred for the first six months. Despite warnings from the Small Business Administration that the funding wouldn't be available to any marijuana or marijuna-related businesses, Akerna is the second cannabis tech company, in addition to MassRoots, to be granted the coronavirus- Ontario extends coronavirus- Israel is set to begin medical cannabis exportation next month, after approval was finalized by Economy Minister Eli Cohen. While adult-use marijuana is illegal in Israel, the country leads the world in cannabis research and is one of the largest global MMJ producers. More than ten farms and five factories currently meet exportation standards, and will now be able to apply for licenses with the Health Ministry.
