Our History is Our Strength: Honoring Trailblazers in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - May 2, 2020 - PRLog -- Sisters with Purpose was created to promote wellness, mentorship, and philanthropy in the Brooklyn. This is March they were supposed to host the third annual Women's History luncheon where they were to honor women making a difference in their community. However, due to COVID-19, this celebration has been pushed back to Thursday, October 29, 2020. At that time, we will not only be celebrating these amazing 3 women, but also the youth in the community who will be presented during the annual Cotillion. The night will include Caroline Gates Anderson, Nora Glenn and Bridgett Battles, being honored and 20 youth being presented. There will also be a powerful keynote speech by Natoya L. McGhie.

Three years ago, Caroline created BloomAgainBrooklyn. Caroline has been planting flowers and repurposing unsold flowers to educate, create dialogue and foster a new relationship between generations. A current student at Medgar Evers College, Nora's pride and joy are her 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren and 1 marvelous great granddaughter.

Bridgett Battles learned that her faith would be the guiding force to set the fashion world a blaze.
